In the past 14 days I have had 6 different situations where a bicyclist has decided to use the crosswalk to ride their bike across the street. In all of the incidents if I had not been keeping a wide view of the entire roadway and access to it I would have hit them.
One of the times a kid on a BMX bike actually was in a parking lot lower than the street and ran up a hill and directly into the crosswalk. He of course could not understand why I would have the right-of-way as a vehicle turning right, we he though he had a green light.
The issue is that you are not legally allowed to ride a bike across the street in a crosswalk.
Anyway, be careful because the snowbirds seem to be riding a lot of bikes this year. (The other 5 incidents were seemingly snow birds.)
